ARMOIRE - VANITY - CLOCK

The large armoire below was purchased in France, disassembled and shipped to the United States where it was put into storage. While in storage, it suffered extensive water damage, "delamination" of the veneer, mold and staining. It was brought to us by the owner for restoration in about fifty pieces - a real mess!

We were asked to restore this 19th century grandfather clock case to its original condition, but maintain its authenticity and patina.

With the newly installed re-conditioned clockworks by the Old Timer Clock Shop (www.bobsclocks.com),  it is truly a museum quality piece.

This Scottish built vanity had been really abused over the years. When its new owner, Gina, asked our advice about restoration we could see the potential underneath the very rough surface.  After a lot of work, the natural beauty of the wood and the original craftsmanship were evident.

Gina was thrilled!
"I was afraid it was beyond repair but you were able to bring out the original beauty of the wood grain.  It's even better than I had hoped for!  I really appreciate your excellent work".
